Ch..Ch...Ch...Changes

Let's see:

1. DH has a new job, he's away this week at a sales meeting, looks like a winner! He's happy, I'm happy, did I mention he's happy? The kids are pretty happy too!

2. Hope is ready for Kindy. Got her checkup and shots today. She still has some wheezing from her flu a few weeks ago. We did another chest x-ray, and might put her on more meds. She's on Flovent for now.

3. Matthew is doing well in school, playing his GameBoy and trying hard to be "the good child". He is indeed a good kid, and is enjoying his friends.

4. Joey....has had some major problems with disrupting his class. Seems every time he is presented with a new subject, he throws a fit if he doesn't immediate grasp it. I tried the school counselor and lots of tender talks for two weeks, which only resulted in his behavior escalating. So I got a "Mom" on him, yanked him out of counseling, took away his GameBoy, explained that if the behavior continued, I'd also yank him out of his beloved 4th grade teacher's class. He spent most of the weekend with me, and only me, as his brother and sister were out doing fun kid things with Dad (video arcade, bowling alley). By Sunday, I had an angel on my hands, and he hasn't had a single problem in class since. Nice.

That's all for now.

This is what Xanax is for...

Allstate SUCKS!

My car has been ready at the bodyshop since January 16, 2007. TODAY, we finally got the payment from Allstate. Today, as in Febuary 6th....Twenty two days later. I spent three hours on the phone using relatively few swear words trying to get my car rental bill paid for. The rental bill for $2253.18. That's right....Two Thousand, Two Hundred Fifty Three dollars and 18 cents. Allstate thought it would be OK for me to pay for it, and they would reimburse me when they got around to it.

No F&*ing way!

I am so very aggravated about the whole thing right now, I'm seriously contemplating sueing them for breach of contract. They eventually agreed, but not until my blood pressure was well above the danger zone.

On the bright side, I have my car back. It's fine, other than a cracked windshield. I called the body shop back, and it will be replaced, tomorrow. I do love that body shop, they are awesome people, with amazing customer service.
